I loved this book! You journey with each dog as he or she evolves and comes into their own. Even in the sad parts you can see the expansion, possibilities, and hope. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and ultimately find yourself changed as you reach the last page.
Reading Finding Forever I found myself spellbound, sometimes forgetting to breath or catching myself cheering out loud. My emotions ran the gamut to the horror of what these blessed souls endured to my faith in the human race being restored. From deep contemplation, to at times sitting at the edge of my chair in absolute suspense with anticipation of the conclusion, the answer, the final chapter. The author’s ability to harness the message she receives from these animals, the skill to translate it and apply it to a life lesson is something we all need to pay attention to. She shares enlightened words of wisdom that if ignore, it will be our loss. I double dog dare you to read and not believe.
These stories will make you laugh and cry. More important they make you think and feel. I was amazed at the complexity of some of the dogs and how each one seemed to have a mission to teach us something . Then there is their longing to find that permanent, loving home, a human to connect with. Just like us, they are looking for love and connection. Some of them have been abused and their spirits broken, or almost broken and they are having to learn to re-trust again, a most difficult task. Again, a curious parallel to humans too.

While I knew very little about animal communication, these stories were touching, simple, and rang true. I became emotionally involved with the dogs and their stories and especially their messages for us. It is sad that it is so hard for animal communication to be accepted and reveled in. I hope that people will read these stories and be encourage empathize more with their pets and really listen for their voices.
